Weather warning

OK so the country is grinding to a halt. I've been around for good number of years and winter still appears to come as a bit of a surprise to some. Few people grit their paths for fear of being sued if someone slips over, yet because of this hospital A&E's are bursting at the seams with broken arms and legs. What a right mess!

Nice car - but it's still 4 pieces of rubber trying to grip on ice

Ice, yeah, it's slippery stuff! No matter what the vehicle, once the tyres lose grip and start to slide you have lost control of the vehicle. Although 4 x4's are far better to drive in the ice, a quick reminder that In it's basic form 4x4 just means that power from the engine is transmitted to all four wheels - ie four wheel drive.  The reminder is a bit late for the the driver of this car.
