Many of us are familiar with A4 paper size. The above diagram shows the relationship between the A sizes. The ISO paper size ‘A standard’ is based on each size being half of the size of the previous one, when folded parallel to the shorter lengths.

To see how large an A3 poster will look, simply lay 2 sheets of A4 copier paper as indicated above. Similarly, an A2 poster will be 4 sheets of A4 copier paper and an A1 poster is 8 sheets of A4 paper.
