The Bank of England interest rate is reduced to 6%, the lowest rate since 1978. Pete Sampras wins his first of 7 Wimbledon titles. The first of four photos of Mars is taken by the Mars Observer…and High Profile opened for business.
There was no internet or email (as we know it), and our computers had 20MB (yes megabytes!) hard drives and 4MB of RAM. All artwork was printed in-house and then photocopied and sent via a bike courier to clients for approval – the courier bills alone were £2,000+ a month.
11,933 jobs, and a few huge leaps in technology later, we are now celebrating 30 years of business.
